yes swans can break you a limb. I used to work as a tourist guide in beautiful gardens with a massive pond in which swans were living. I had to keep telling off parents for letting their children get so close to the swans.
One of the swans also caused a car accident when it wandered off onto the streets and another one broke another male's neck in a rivalry fight... The most funny was newlyweds coming to take pictures which would always end up in the swans picking, biting and pulling at the bride's dress.
They're beautiful animals but they're not friendly, keep off!

Im afraid this is a myth. Like all birds the swan has very light bones and contact with a human limb at speed would result in the swans wing being broken. However they can be aggressive, especially when defending young so it is best to steer clear of them and enjoy their beauty from afar.

No. Swan's bones are hollow and delicate. Only if you suffer from extremely severe ostepororsis OR get hit by a swan doing more than 100 miles an hour would it stand a chance of breaking your arm.

No. But I live on a minor canal in Amsterdam, we have a pair of swans that nest every year a bit further from down from us. From the time she lays the eggs until the signets are gone, the male is VERY aggressive. He chases boats. He attacks anything on the water that isn't a bird. The city even puts a sign up on the bridge warning boats to stay on the OTHER SIDE of the canal. I don't know if he's broken any arms. But if you saw this big boy bearing down on a kayak you'd be glad you were NOT in that kayak.

The wings of a goose or swan are very hard and their beaks, or bills, are very hard. They can severely injure a small dog or child.
large waterfowl can injure a human with a single wingbeat; in fact, an adult swan can break a human arm with its wing!
