I hear you. I was also a fast growing myope, sometimes needing two lens changes in a year!

That is what got me interested in the eye care profession. I have seen it all as well. But generally, fast growing myopes generally "slow up" in their mid-twenties. I was about 27 when my prescription finally stopped changing.

Do you know round about what your prescription is? Look on your contact boxes and please tell me the number next to the minus and your age. That will help me a lot more with your diagnosis!

For example, I wear the Acuvue 2 Lens, -9.50 in both eyes. (That's what I really wear, btw!)

Okay, from what I can see in your prescription as stated above, you will not wind up a horrible myope like myself, but you will probably start to taper off within the next few years 3-4. Your prescription will also most likely wind up in the 4's or 5's worst case scenario.

I hope that I have helped you. Again, it's hard to see as I cannot see your eyes through the proper equipment, but that is my summary of what most likely will happen!

Also, wearing contacts will not make your eyes any worse! That is an old wives' tale. After all, you started to NEED glasses, even before you wore them -- correct?
