Im tryin to convert some video files (.avi) to dvd format. Ive tried using Nerovision but it seems the quality of the end product sucks bigtime. THe only think I like about Nerovision is it is so easy to use and doesnt take too long. Are there any other BETTER programs out there?

go to http://www.videohelp.com/ it is excellent. it gives you lots of information on software you can use (which is rated as well). you just fill in your criteria on the form. I need to do the same thing when my vid gets uploaded so i went here to the software section and put the criteria as avi to DVD or something along the lines and it comes up with specialist software for this very purpose. not sure of quality though never tried any software yet as i still have to finish the vid before i upload.

The site even has a database of media players and the formats they play. It is really great. I'm sure they do other stuff as well, I'll have to check it again myself to see.

Good luck anyway.

There is an outstanding guide on how to convert AVI files to DVD format using DVD Creator. What I like about it is there are step by step instructions using plain English and not computer geek language. In addition, there are a lot of screenshots to walk you through the process. The link is http://www2.dvd-ripper-copy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=342#342

I can't recommend a single program since all computers are different, the ago old YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary). There must be at least a dozen available to convert to just about any type of video extension. I would check TUCOWS.COM, I am sure there is one there that will do the job.

Are you on a Mac? Use Imovie, import the avi, save the result as a DVD.
