I see nothing is wrong with it some ponytails look sophisticated just don't wear it too high or too tight

Nothing is wrong with it. In fact some girls look better with pony tails and most of the times it just looks cute if dress appropriately to match it. But then again cute can never be sexy, maybe your bf just wants to show you off to his friends or whtver.
Bottom line is wear what you want to and look how you want to and if they object dump them (:

I don't think it makes anything WRONG. I think sometimes, it makes the girl look pretty and sporty at the same time. If it's really hot out, you should put your hair up. It cools you off.
The bad thing is, if you pull it 2 hard, thou head will hurt.
In conclusion, nothing's wrong with girls putting their hair in a pony tail.

Men seem to have a huge problem with I've noticed. Lots of men I've dated prefer my hair down, but sometimes this means getting up half an hour earlier to get my hair straightened as I have not curly/not straight hair - just an unruly mess without my trusty irons. I do wear my hair down if I'm out in town, but only if I have a lot of time to get ready, otherwise it gets wacked up.

I don't see anything wrong with it. It's easy, keeps your hair off your neck in hot weather, and in general keeps it out of the way.
