Icebreakers, especially those with some physical contact are a huge hit with this age group. Also games that divide them into two teams are good. You need to actively work to break up clicks and mix the kids up so they are all friends or the group won't be fun for most of them.

Here are some all time favorites (don't know if I have the original names but I'll describe them):

The Ballon Hug Chain
2 teams object is to be the first team to bust all your balloons. Each kid except the last in line gets a balloon. They have to bust the balloons by hugging eachother with the balloon between them.

Sardines
It's hide and seek in reverse. Everybody starts out in a room. The person who is it goes to another part of the building to hide while everybody else counts. Then they disperse to find the person. When you find the person hiding you join them. Everybody ends up crammed into the small space.

Raisinettes
Pass a bag of raisenettes (or other small candy) each person takes a raisonette for each thing they can tell about themselves until they can hold no more and then they eat them.

The name jingle game
Each person comes up with a way to remember their name like, I'm Charles and I like Chocolate or I'm not so fancy Nancy. You go round the circle each person has to remember all the jingles that came before them.

Action Pairs
Only works if you can make the room completely dark.
You make commands like rub my back, hold my hand, pull my hair, on little slips of paper and make two of each command. Each person gets a slip. They have to find their partner by following the command until they find the other person that does the same the back to them. They start when the lights go off. Flash them back on periodically to see who is paired.
