as christians it seems there is always somthing that we struggle with.If there was one stronghold you could give to the LORD what would be ?

When God spoke to me in his word saying in
ISAIAH 41:13
13) For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, fear not; I will help thee.
He became my stronghold. I did not need to depend on nothing or no one. When God is not your stronghold: the devil is.
When you have God you do not struggle even when you thnk that you are struggling. When we do not give our whole trust, our whole self-being unto him. Then that which is holding us is of the devil. You start fighting with your struggles, then you lose focus on the prize, you start calling on God for help again. When we struggle, we tend to struggle for the things we need and it becomes the start of our stronghold, but
St. Matthew 6:8
8) Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
So if God knows what I need before I even ask, such as bills being paid, etc. Then all I need to do is
PROVERBS 3:5,6
5) Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
So let the Lord Jesus Christ be your stronghold and let go of all the rest. I pray for you. Amen

Even though I know God made me the way I am,I have a hard time loving myself.Therefore I have a lot of fears that keep me from doing some of the things God leads me to do. I'm like Moses standing before the burning bush saying I can't do that because.So,I would want to see myself more through God's eyes than mine,put on his armor and move forward.After all....he didn't give us any armor for the back!No retreat!God bless your day.

I came from an emotionally, physically abusive alcholic family and even though am the youngest I had to be the one who was strong the one all could depend on so cause of that of being forced to always be in control even though have served God over 15 years now I still sometimes struggle with letting go and letting HIm have control of all. plz pray for me in that area.

That is why we have strongholds because we aren't fully trusting in God to be God in our lives. I am guilty of this myself. Sometimes you go so far just to be knocked back 4 steps because you don't have your not prayed up. Thank God He is still working on me. I have a two things I need to lay down for Him so I can do what it is I have to do in this life here on earth.

what? are u saying that christians are always struggling w/ things? the lord is sum1 created by crazy cavemen to explain what they didn't understand....and no i'm not atheist. i'm agnostic.
