For some of us, yes.
For most of us - the comfort offered by such beleifs are so important, life would be too hard to live without them.

I wish we'd strive to be wiser and stronger instead of "believing" and hateful.

I think it's a draw. By definition, the currently existing monotheistic religions are exclusionary and divisive. This results in a "us vs. them" mentality that makes it possible for the faithful of each of those religions to rationalize war and oppression of anyone who disagrees with them. And we would definitely be better off without that.

On the other hand, getting rid of religion entirely would be a mistake, because some people find it necessary to believe in a god and a judgment day in order to behave in a moral manner. People with this psychology might not be capable of moral behavior without the threat of a "giant daddy in the sky" who will judge them at the end of their life.

But if the three monotheistic religions just seemed to disappear from everyone's consciousness and more tolerant religions or philosophical beliefs such as Buddhism, Daoism, or humanism took their place, then that would definitely be a good thing! So in that case, yes!

i do not hate it. The dogmas/religions at the on the spot are not doing any damage. that is the people. As is an same with each and every thing, some people bypass to extremes and others do not. What I dislike maximum about Christianity is the theory that i visit bypass to hell till I ask Jesus Christ to be my savior. regrettably, I already have a splendidly good courting with God and do not sense any favor to placed somebody else between us. and that i in simple terms gained't believe that what which skill is that i will bypass to hell. I already stay in heaven. :)

I don't really think believing in one God or many gods is the issue is it? Isn't the issue really whether the world would be better off without the religions you specified? I think maybe the world would be better off without all the bickering, but I would never say the world would be better off without any certain religion or culture or race or belief. Anyway who are we to say what would make the world better? We are experts in destroying it. WE=HUMANKIND

Somewhat. I'd say religion altogether, but polytheism at least values all the kinds - as all contributing to a universal harmony - all of the gods exist to fulfill something and contribute something towards greather harmony. Monotheism is rather egotistical, and finite.

Is the world real? Then yes, if you say no, than no.
Reality is best served by reality, honesty, integrity etc.
Lies are best served by more lies. They die with honesty and integrity. Religion is full of contradictory lies built on more lies. This does not serve reality one bi. It destroys and jumps in to get paid to clean up it's own mess.

Probably not. Was Rome better off when it was a polytheistic society?
