Mantra Meditation :
In this the Lord's name is repeated continuously either mentally or in a whisper. There are certain "mantras" which are said to be extremely powerful in their benefits. They may be repeated in this form of meditation.
Yogic gaze (Trataka):
Stare at an object such as a candle flame, a physical object etc. Be careful not to strain the eyes. Rest the eyes if they start to water and then restart.
Chakra Meditation:
Chakras means "wheel" and represent the major nerve plexi which branch off the spinal cord to serve the major organs of the body. Chakras represent a different level of energy manifestation and consciousness development. There are 7 Chakras.

Depends.
There are meditations done to clear the clutter from the mind. Emptiness is a common target. There are meditations that center on something as a target. The idea there is to savor a person, idea, or feeling. One is clean the other is heightened enjoyment. Meanwhile, the body should be getting either rest or motivating envigoration.

There are many, many different ways. My favorite way is to sit quietly, clear my mind, close my eyes, and let myself drift away. It's hard to clear your mind of thoughts, so some people use a mantra or something else to help clear the mind. The goal for me is simply to still my mind, and listen. Listen to what? That's the point. Whatever comes. The universe, if I'm lucky. Deepak Chopra puts it as slipping into "the gap" - the silence between thoughts. It gets easier with practice, like anything else.

How you meditate is to not concentrate on anything and relax to the least tense state of mind and keep going and keep going and etc. Just do not think about anything but relaxing further

there are hundreds of different ways - essentially you have to stop your brain from thinking - one of the easier ways is through mantras that you keep repeating.
just google meditation techniques and look at some - chose the one that sounds most appealing and give it a shot...no harm done, if it does not work for you.... there are more to try
