How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsi roll tootsi pop?

Oh, damn you random weirdos. Okay, I bought a tootsie roll pop to test it. Unfortunately, I had to buy a whole bag of them because they wouldn't just sell me one at the grocery store (I tried, believe me) and the bag had all those nasty root beer flavored ones. so I had to find people to give all those away to. With that done, it was easier to find my favorite flavor, orange, and start licking. It took 1,343 licks before I got to tootsie roll. But then I got to thinking that I'd used really short licks, so I got another one (also orange) and just twirled it around while licking, that one took three big long licks. So inconclusion, the number of licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop is undefined, there are too many variables and I don't feel like eating any more.

Well actually if multiply the size of the tootsie roll pop by the length of your tongue taking into consideration the current temperature and divide it by the current barometer reading, then add in the amount of time it was in the wrapper and subtract 5 if its any color other than grape, you should get your answer...give or take!

it depends on how big your tongue is but it typically takes 147 licks to get to the center of a tootsi roll tootsi pop. that dang owl is a dirty lil liar

if you really want to know, we documented this in high scool and on one side of the sucker just licking one spot bottom to top it took each (3) of us to determine that it took 1436, 1410, and 1453, so it takes on average 1433 licks to get to teh center of a tootsie rool tootsie pop

I don't know exactly how much but a long time ago when my Mom was
younger she did and told me it was about 500 licks.
