It's just people talking, and trying to persuade others.

I don't believe all people who question religion or God to be evil. I question my religion and my beliefs and my faith, but in some part yes I do think it is a struggle between Good and Evil. I also think the, more important struggle between good and evil exists on a personal level inside each individual, and the struggle between other people interacting with each other is of lesser importance. I am only responsible for my own actions. As for God not really being there, well i find it easier to believe that something exists then believing nothing exists, after all nothing can never exist.

Not necessarily. What has been going on, is a constant stuggle to put order onto an otherwise chaotic world. Floods, famines, disease, hunting, good harvest - these are why cave drawings developed. They were not pictures to depict "the now" were self-fulfilling prophecies - to depict either the struggle between mankind and the chaotic, unpredictable natural world, or to paint harvests of bounty - a prayer of sorts, and an image of hope.
Natural life is chaotic. It is disorderly. It is unpredictable. Some may be ok with that, others may feel unfulfilled by this disarray - religion helps to instill order - with manmade rules, beliefs, hopes, and structures. Religion gives people (a manmade artificial) meaning of life.
So, I don't think it's so much "good" versus "evil" but an ordered world versus a chaotic world.

We're not living in the matrix. It's all real. Is it a struggle between good and evil? Or can you also call it spiritual warfare. That's how I see it. Every day is a struggle. I can only tell you it's about having faith and believing God. Do you know that Satans greatest lie is for people to believe he does not exist.

could be..Are we pawns in the cosmic chessgame of the black king against the white king?? Are we here to choose sides?/ The black side representing darkness and the white representing light. Like a famous person once said "I am the light of the world"
Is he there or isn't he there, time will tell.
The dead man raised the question "define good and evil" (How dead people get on Yahoo answers is another question computers have come a long way)
Is good and evil relative to our personal opinions???

Good and evil is a taught created by the individual mind. its all about choice and what we do with the taught. That defines what is the good and what is the evil. That hypothetical man that you talk about is also a taught, it is up to you the individual to choose to believe or not.

Sorry, but I won't say it is a struggle as God could quash evil in a blink of an eye. However, that would remove our ability to choose and you can't have free will without choice. True it is our fight between our sinful nature and the mercy and glory that God shows us.

we are all kings or pawns. Good and evil is only the existance of emotion within the minds of human beings. The struggle is nothing more than the eternal principle of morality that exists within the human brain, and the absolute moral law of humanity.

No, there's no real struggle between a substantive GOOD and a substantive EVIL. It's just good people, evil people and a whole continuum of in-between people who are just struggling to do what they all want to to: LIVE!

We're just talking about God, Jim, who's everywhere, not just in the sky. Sometimes there is an interesting and informative discussion (Yes, even with atheists) and sometimes there is criticism and insults and sarcasm, like what you wrote. I personally don't understand the insults, but to each his own.

It's all talk.
Evil or good are simply subjective terms we link to acts we find decent or deplorable.
In some cultures it was the height of piety and goodness to sacrifice thier children on certain occasions. Would we think this act was "good" today? No. So, "good" and "evil" are utterly subjective.
They are not absolutes.
