I as a Muslim am not against it at all.

Because if they did that, people on this side of the world would attack them for being immoral and whatnot. I think it's a prefectly fine idea and would make anybody think twice before doing anything like that. But not everyone understands that. Apparently sick criminals and rapists and thieves are supposed to be treated with "dignity"... not that they treated their victim with any.

In brief the Islamic legal punishments were always meant to be preventive measures more than punishments that were looked to be enforced whenever possible.

I'm pretty sure in some parts of the world they do practice that. But a lot of them must realize its inhumane.
