If there is no God, how do you explain prophesies especially the biblical ones that come true. How can one see, or prophesy a future if the world was created by chance.

Can you explain why the jews, who read the so called "prophecies" in the Tanakh in their original language (hebrew) claim Jesus do not fulfill the prophecies? How come those who have been reading the prophecies before christianity was born say the prophecies haven't been fulfilled? The devil's work? Or simple the so called "prophecies" are vague words? Come on, the prophecies aren't prophecies at all, unless you want to believe they are. The islam uses "prophecies" to validate their belief as well. What does that tell you? The aztec and mayas had prophecies and they fulfilled with the arrival or Cortez, Prophecies or vague interpretations? Was Kukulkan the real son of god? Get over it.

The bible was written over centuries, is it not possible that if a not so vague prophesy was proved false, a ruler or leader could remove it from the bible in order to keep control over the masses? The men who selected the pieces of writings that would go into the bible chose those that suited their purposes best. We don't have original documents, and no proof that certain writings were included in them. A vague prophesy that comes true, or is claimed to have come true, proves nothing.

Interpretations of prophesies coming true are unconvincing. Do you think Nostradamus was a prophet of God? He is more famous for prophesy than the Bible.

Because I can predict that within the next 5-100 years a plane will crash. I can also predict that the stock market will rise, then fall. I will also predict that the sun will rise tomorrow and that in 500 years New Years will fall on January 1st.

Without any specific examples, all I can tell you is that vague descriptions and terminology combined with the natural human instinct to find patterns in complex or chaotic things can lead to a lot of misleading conclusions.

Most would come back at you with, "What prophecies have there been that have been proven true?"

And, under the circumstances, even I would agree. Where's your evidence that any prophecy has come true? Which prophecies are you talking about?
