I am going to throw up. Some of you are right on the money, and others should stay away from homeowners - but, you are probably sales reps for some electronics company. Sigh.

You have a great pic but the Sat is bad. You answered your own question, and you need to fix the Satellite!

You pay good money to these guys, call them and tell them to get on it, now. They will, I have worked with some very good Sat techs.

Do NOT switch to Cable. Compared to Satellite signal and picture it is terrible. Think about the distance and connections and junctions a cable signal has to pass through to get to your home. Yeah. Now, if this is a new home, and they fed the hood with fiber optic, ok, now they have an argument. But, not until then. Satellite is as direct as it gets and it beautiful. It is more expensive up front though, as it requires a receiver at every TV. I tell my customers to get basic cable, feed it to the house for the kids, then get Satellite for movies, and music, and feed this to the Masterbed and Theater locations. Everyone wins.

This "digital" stuff is still marketing. Most TV's are connected via analog inputs such as Component. This means there is a D/A Digital to Analog conversion going on anyway. The only true Digital straight through is via DVI, which is going away, and HDMI, which will be the standard.

Tell your Satellite company fix the equipment or you are switching sides. Run an HDMI, or good Component cable from Sat receiver to TV and enjoy an incrediblly crisp picture. Run the sound to your system, NOT the TV. And use the cable company just for the kids and their cartoon network, because they don't care about a lousy picture.

THIS is what you do.

Ditch the satellite! Switch to Cox Communications or whatever cable company is available in your area.

i'm not prepared on having television's contained in the mattress room at any time. A 30 inch television could be contained in the residing room - bedrooms are for slumbering. observing television in mattress is truly undesirable on your eyes.
