Normally it should take about 10 days thats normally how long antibiotics are prescribed for. If it doesnt work within in ten days go back to doctors office.

You should start feeling some relief today or tomorrow. If it still hurts by Friday morning, call your doctor. He may need to switch you to a different antibiotic and perhaps an ear drop pain reliever. You might try taking some tylenol or advil right away, that should help with the swelling & pain.

It should take only 3 to 4 days. Try advil for the pain.

Hi
If you don't start to feel better by tomorrow, please go back to doctor, the antibiotics may not be strong enough.
Ear infections can be difficult to treat and often go along with a sinus infection or allergies that may not even be apparent. Hope you feel better soon.
