Usually in equipment with both analog and digital components , it is good practice to have seperate ground / earth for Analog and Digital. This is probably what you call a Digital Earth .

where did you find this term?? plaxe some comments with ur question. As far as digitl elex is concerned, ther is no earthing in it. May be, the reference voltage level to decide the high or low is termed as digital grnd...
