Agnostic. He allows for the possibility of a god, but does not believe in the god described by religions. Brilliant man.

In his own words:

would you believe in God if you were Steven Hawking? I'm pretty sure he's an atheist. Poor guy, I'm sure his afterlife or next life will be better.

He is not a religion! If you mean to say which religion he is from than he follows religion of science{he was born a christian}..

He's an athiest ... he claims that although the universe has borders it is infinite and therefore never created; so God is not necessary.

Yeah, I know, odd.
