Spf 15 is all you really need so long as you apply it thickly and all over an spf 30 does not have double the protection as you might think it is only 3% better. I buy Banana Boat because it is waterproof and sweatproof. They have a Baby version that comes in spf 50 i get that sometimes because it doesn't sting the eyes. They also have a Kids version and a sport version all for reasonable price.

The highest SPF you can get. There's a brand called No-Ad, who oddly enough, don't advertise, thus keeping their prices really low. It's lovely and thick, smells nice and lasts for ages, as well as being super cheap. I'd get the factor 45 or 50. But always remember to reapply, especially after swimming or excessive sweating.
Have a nice Holiday!

Definitely agree with the others - factor 50. The children's suncreams out there will not harm his skin in anyway, they are all made with little ones in mind. Don't forget to continually reapply as well, even if he hasn't been in the water it gets rubbed and sweated off, so even if the bottle says you don't need to, keep slapping it on.
Have a great holiday - Portugal is lovely!

You can buy sunblock made specifically for small children. It's called "Water Babies" or something like that. It even comes in a tube like a large chap-stick for putting on his face. If you some reason you can't find it, I would use the highest SPF you can find. Regardless of what you use, try to minimize his exposure to the sun as much as possible.

the highest possible, and make sure he ahs a hat, and spends a lot of the time under the sunshade. Temperatures round here on the Costas is getting around 38 degrees celcius at the moment, so it's gonna be hot in Portugal as well.

Use the highest factor you can get hold of! I would recommend Boots own brand as it is the only 5 star rated sun cream. They do kids ones that are factor 50+, and are coloured green so you can see where you put it. They are also buy one, get one free at the moment.

Any SPF 15 or above is good. Although any factor above 15 does not afford any better. The adverts can be very confusing sometimes but reputed medical dermatology textbooks will give you that answer.

Hi, I've a 15mth old son and we put him in a sun suit with long arms / legs and hat. Only need to put sun block on face, hands, feet and neck. It's great he can run around and we don't have to worry (tomuch) about the sun. The heat is another thing.
Enjoy the hols.

i like the aveeno stuff for comfortable dermis, because of the fact some creams reason rashes on my daughter.yet this one on no account did. additionally, maximum docs say to attend till 6 months previous to apply sunscreen. I knwo the better the SPF, the greater powerful that's meant to guard, so i attempt to p.c.. one with a minimum of 30. And reapply if we are outdoors for a protracted time. you additionally can go with to come across a effective sunlight hat--they are not very costly and defend the face extremely properly.
