My cat has sores on her stomach from her constant licking and scratching her stomach which constantly itches her. We think she is getting the itches from an allergy to being outside on our lanai.

Try Neosporen, my pharmacist said the vet uses the same thing.

As a temporary fix, give her some Benadryl. Here's a site with dosage by weight. http://animalsunlimited.net/meds.htm This will give her some relief. You need to get to the bottom of what is causing the sores. Try keeping her inside and see if they heal up. Food could be a cause.

Just put some Cortizone cream on it. My mom puts it on her cat when he's got a scrape and it helps heal it. I'd also spray a little Bitter Apple after applying the cream so that cat doesn't bother with it.

Other than taking your cat to the vet to find out what is causing the allergy, I make my own salve.
Petrolumn Jelly
Sulpher
Tea Tree Oil
in equal thirds, it will heal and if the cat licks it off it will serve as a hair ball remedy.

get your dog to lick it. My cat came home one day and she had this HUGE flap of skin hanging off of her tummy and her guts were like coming out... ya, it was C shaped and it was about 5 inches in diameter. It was really gross, but my dog cleaned it up for her and he kept licking it (I am not sure if it was because he liked the taste of her blood or what) but dogs have some sort of healing thing in their saliva. But my dog and my cat sleep together (not that way), it is really wierd.

Talk to your vet, he can supply a special cream, usually it's pretty cheap. You may also need to get a cone to stop her from chewing for awhile.
