Just in case, based on your other answers one of which I answered, you DON'T have to belong to a church that teaches anti-immunizations. You just have to state that it is against YOUR religious beliefs to not have them immunized. You can find some sample letters for this by searching under 'religious exemption sample letters. They changed this not that long ago, it used to be that your church had to have it stated in their constitution that they are against it. Just FYI, the only ones I know for sure practice this in their religion are Scientology and Church of Religious Science, don't know if those are the same or not. Otherwise, just saying that you believe that God will protect your children without medical technology is enough. Every state allows for religious exemptions, some for medical, some for philosophical, and some any combination of the three. I live in CA, and we are allowed all three. I don't immunize my children, and they will be homeschooled so I won't have to deal with that end, but if they were in school I would take the philosophical exemption, just simply stating I don't believe it is in my child's best interest to have them.

The other night I watched a special on t.v. about the side
affects of the Hepatitis B vaccine and I will have to tell you
that it scared me beyond belief! There was a beautiful, very
healthy 4 year old boy who was about to start pre-k. Before
he could start he had to have the vaccine. His reaction to that
shot was horrifying. He swelled up beyond recognition. He was in
a lot of pain. Now he can't walk without the aid of a walker.
His mother has to give him 8 different medications every day
just so he can function and will not be in pain! Another story,
a newborn, healthy and beautiful. They started the shots and it
died. They blamed it on SIDS. The parent didn't buy it. They
interviewed healthcare workers who had received the shots.
There were about 8 of them. Some were confind to wheel chairs,
others used walkers. One man said "I was fine until I was given
the shot, now I can't even feed myself." There were many other
stories with children who had terrible side affects. They will
never be the same again! What angered me about the whole thing
was that my boys (ages 4 and 2)have received all 3 shots....but
no one told me what could happen. The hospital started the shots
immediatly after they were born. The state says that our children
have to have these shots before they can get an education.....a
shot that could paralize them for life! And from what I gathered
from the special was that Hepatitis B would be VERY difficult
for a child to catch. People like health care workers, doctors,
paramedics, firefighters and police officers would be the ones
at risk. They interviewed a doctor who defended the vaccine saying
(from what I understood) these were rare cases and that they could
not say 100% that these things that happened were caused by the
vaccine. Please! How stupid do they think we are. We may not be
MDs but we know this much, if a child is healthy today, and you
give him a shot and tomorrow he can't walk.....well, I don't think
I need to say any thing else. I just think that more parents should
know about this.

There are several "Christian" denominations that oppose not only immunizations, but all medical treatment, or some types, such as blood transfusions.
Courts have held that adults are free to pursue such practices and principles, but that parents must, despite their personal beliefs, not expose children to such risks. This remains one of the more urgent and difficult confrontations between church and state in the US.

I was born and raised presbyterian, and I never went without any immunizations, neither have any of my kids. God gave scientists the abilty to create these immunizations, I think it would be incredibly stupid not to take advantage of this gift He has given us.

I immunize my kids, not matter what, I don't want them to die because some nut in a church said it's against god's will, screw him.

I am a Christian. My little guy is almost 6 months, and he has had all of his shots. I am scared every time, but I know it is better for him to have them.
