1st you can convert, but they believe you are denying God by turning away from Islam.
They also have a mandate in their religion which states: Treat the Jews and Christians as brothers as they are People of The Book(ie they also got the word of God, many Muslims ignore this first part), but do not let them have dominion over you. They also believe that Islam is the ONLY correct religion. So they would be remisss by not bringing their children up Muslim. And since the wife has a significant influence on the kids, she needs to be a Muslim too or the children will get "wrong" ideas. Similar practices are present in some other religions as well. Jews have similar requirements. Christians do the same. Hindus also do this, although they are a bit less restrictive.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.
According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

How much do you know about other religions..???
When the Christian kid or the Jewish kid are introduced to their religion..what is this? Do you know? What kind of a name they are given on the first day...do they give them a Muslim name..?what is this?
So, is it Islam only forcing the religion in their family and children..what is this?
Why should any one convert to any other religion than Islam?
Do you know of any religion that has the true , unchanged , Book of Allah ( God )? what is this?
Islam is the highest , fastest growing religion on earth...what is this?
Islam has the lowest number of those who want to convert to another religion, you can 't even put it into percentage...so negligible....what is this?
Muslims who leave Islam for another religion, will be a loss for their new religion as they are redundant...take them.

Others here have already condemned, most effectively, your twisted method of attacking Islam.
You should realize that the most dangerous circumstance we in the US - and the Western societies in general - face is determining to conduct a cultural war against Muslims. We have been attacked by a group of radical fundamentalists who despise all forms of modern society and, just as Pol Pot attempted decades ago in Cambodia, want to turn the world from such "godless" life and back to a more primitive pastoral world of their imaginations.
Guess what? THAT description fits David Koresh, Jim Jones, leaders of various "Christian" cults around the United States, and most of the right-wing fundamentalist militias and survivalist groups.
Persistently painting all Muslims as a monolithic bloc is ignorant, foolish, dangerous and misguided. Doing so to justify war against an entire religion and culture is guaranteed to keep the world in distress and blood without let or hope for centuries to come. Why not face facts and deal with the problem of people who don't benefit from the world's progress, have no hope of doing so, and have become deluded by fruitcakes like Bin Laden or Pat Robertson.

You are correct in saying that God gave us all free will. It is also true that we tend to pass our beliefs to our children and they, for the most part mimic them. I was raised Catholic and we were told that that was the one true religion and we should thank God that we were "blessed" to know the truth. It is not just Muslims that pass on their religion....we all do.
I am now a Christian and so is my daughter. Many of my family members cannot understand it. We are an outcast in our own family. I believe that the Muslims are just trying to "save" their family members by having them practice their ways of worship.
If you really want to help them, accept them where they are right now without judging and pray for them.

I am Muslim, and that statement is False. The Koran strictly tells Muslims that we are NOT to force religion onto people--even other Muslims. Unfortnately, some Muslims--out of their human flaws--do not practice this concept..That would be like me asking you "How can white Americans consider themselves Christians, when--using the Blible to justify it-- they bought Africans to America in chains, enslaved black people for 400 years, and raped black women slaves, and then lynched black men once we became free during the 1930's and 40's--then went to Church on Sunday to praise the Lord?"
Its NOT fair to generalize ALL groups of people based on the actions of a few. Make sense?

I am Muslim and my religion is complete way of life and declared as final so why to go for others. Secondly if we are giving full respect to all other religions and their believers then why others are blaming us. There is no strictness in Islam to force others to Islam, but to tell them the teachings of God, then it is their will to choose what is right or wrong.

Muslims do not force their religion on anyone, and no they aren't brain washed. It would not be considered forcing in Christianity when you tell everyone that they are going to hell for this or that and shoving your religious beliefs down everybody's throat fi you were Christian. But that's off topic, Muslims don't force their religion on anybody.
EDIT: I also would wish people would stop associating Muslims with terrorists and suicide bombers.

Technically, the same happens in Christianity, you can't convert to other religion according to the Bible, the difference of course is that certain muslims (the ones you mention) do follow the Koran to the letter. I know of few christians who follow the Bible to the letter.
