It is not my belief that people think anger, jealousy and double standards are good qualities in God or in Gods 'eyes'. But I think too many people use 'God' as an excuse or pick and choose religious text to support their prejudices and beliefs while ignoring the parts that don't. One example is the Christian Bible being used to justify revenge ('An eye for an eye.') but ignoring 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you', 'Love thy neighbor as you would love yourself' and 'Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone'. Being a religious zealot is bad, no matter what flavor.

The so-called list of seven deadly sins is not found in scripture but was apparently compiled by monks in the sixth century. Anger, biblically speaking, is not inherently wrong. Neither is jealousy. There are no double standards with God but sometimes people experience a double measure of lacking understanding.

I'm sorry - who are we to judge God's standards - he is the creator and we are the creation - would a spoon complain to the silversmith that he was made a spoon instead of a fork or a knife? I doubt it. So why should we complain and pick a part what God is, when so few of us and can even live by a moral standard of our own - that brings about any semblance of no anger and no jealousy - and there are no deadly sins as all sins are deadly - only one sin is unforgivable all others are forgivable. God works as God - he's so far above and beyond any man that we are treading on thin ice I do believe to even consider ourselves capable of asking a question of such magnitude.

There is a difference between anger of man, which is motivated by selfishness, and the anger of God, which is motivated by a hatred of sin. Also, the jealousness of God is because He created us and does not appreciate us throwing that back in His face by worshiping other gods.

It's because you're too stupid to understand what God means by anger and jealousy.

They are the qualities of Satan who is the god of this world which you suck up to. (2 Corinthians 4:4) but nothing of the True God.
