There are some 6.5 million Witnesses of Jehovah worldwide. The average printing for each issue of the Watchtower Bible Journal is 27,055,000. That’s 27 million, 55 thousand. That’s almost five times the number of Witnesses. That suggests that there is a reading audience out there, outnumbering the witnesses and obviously finding a very good use for the Watchtower Bible journal. But I also appreciate that there are some who do not.

I use it for mulch. From the earth, did ye come, to the earth will ye return. I came to this post kind of late and it's interesting to see the post from the obvious JW. Most magazines depend on either sponsorship or readership to survive. Watchtower is left in bulk at all laundromats, dentists and doctors offices, anywhere where people may sit waiting for something else. It is left unasked for at peoples houses and thrust upon folks by annoying ***holes. Sure it's the most printed magazine in the world. And its a major polluter and takes up space in landfill right next to all the Pampers. But at least the Pampers were used.

Well I don't agree with their beliefs at all so I don't accept the magazine from a witness at my door.

Some people would probably suggest using it as a weapon to beat people off or use it to start a pagan fire but I wouldn't go as far as to suggest things like that because it will just clearly wind the witnesses up or insult them and we must remember they are human after all.

I used to peddle that rag mag for years along with it's companion Awake.

I can tell you some things NOT to do with it

1. Accept it
2. Read it
3. Believe it

The illustrations in it are hilarious, especially the ones that depict the "wicked world around us."

ADDITION:
After reading Mr Hannah's comments I feel compelled to respond.

Yes, they may print many more mags than the number of Witnesses but that number is misleading. Most of those are to be used in "Field Service" to be left with those who respond to the door to door message. The majority end up in the homes of Witnesses because they can't get people to take them.

I gathered enough of them together to build a stairway to heaven. When I got there, God told me that the watchtower magazine was all B.S. Then He vaporized all the magazines.

Lucky I brought a parachute.
