i am trying to open a file but it says " There is insufficient memory. Cannot display requested font."

make sure you have the font in your font file. Hit ALT + CNTRL +DEL at the same time and see what processes and applications are running. Shut down unneeded ones.

first check whether the required font is present in the font file (control panel and fonts).

search the file called (normal) which is a word template file. Delete that file or cut and paste it any where. Then your word will work properly.if not undo the things.
otherwise increase the Ram size or virtual memory.

Usually you can correct this problem with a reboot. If it happens often the consider adding more ram to your system or at least increase your virtual memory settings.

Try closing some other programs. It normally happens when you have spyware or adware on your computer so to be on the safe side run a scan with lavasoft adware go to http://www.download.com to download it. Good luck!

Close all other programs. If that doesn't solve it, reboot. If that doesn't solve it, run defrag on your hard drive. If you're still having trouble, you should do a spyware scan.
