Buy beeswax & twist your hair up with the beeswax and continue to do that for a month straight with out removing the twists from your hair.

get some beeswax and start twisting your washed and clean hair I started mine at home and I just kept my new growth twisted every two weeks I washed and twisted my hair with the beeswax ,now I have some of the most beautiful dreads. Good Luck!
