The potty seat he has sits on top of the toilet and has a detachable pee guard. That is the problem. It keeps falling in the toilet!!! I am wondering if anyone has a potty seat that sits on top of the toilet with an adequate pee guard that doesn't detach. He will not stand up yet, unfortunately.

i know what you mean.. my 4 year when we were training flushed the pee guard down the toilet, it got stuck and we had to remove the whole toilet and use a wire hanger to get it unstuck!!! What a mess!!
after that i decided not to use the pee guard at all and started teaching him to hold his equipment down towards the toilet while he is pot-tying.. like you he started out sitting while peeing and when he started to stand to pee it was easier for him to understand that he had to hold and aim... i am currently doing the same with my 2 year old... Hope this Helps!!!

the same thing was happening to the pee guard for my first son. so i taught both of my sons 2 1/2 and 5 years old how to hold 'it' down. within 2 weeks my older son had it, and i am just now starting to potty train my younger son and he is already getting it. it's much cheaper than buying a whole new seat.
