For the past 12 years I have experianced cyanosis of my toe and fingernail beds. It is not affected by the weather - they have no sensation other than a slight tingle and disappear as quickly as they appear.

Cyanosis in adults is almost always caused by a drop in available oxygen to the tissue. Transient cyanosis of the fingers and toes may indicate poor capillary supply, and can be affected by changes in temperature (cold hands/feet) or by drop in available oxygen such as during an asthma attack. If this concerns you, seek medical advice from your doctor.

Blue fingernails may result from a number of things from inadequate oxygen levels, abnormal blood counts, to Raynaud's Syndrome, etc. It would be difficult to have a direction or indication of the problem without more information.
I would highly recommend discussing this with your doctor, as it can be a signifigant indication of an underlying health problem!

"There are several reasons for blue nailbeds. One possibility is poor oxygenation. This could be due to any number of reasons; lung problems, anemia, carbon monoxide, etc. A more benign possibility is Raynaud's phenomenon. This harmless condition causes coloration changes in the fingers with changes in temperature" (Med help). Go see a doctor

I can't exactly remember or spell the name of the syndrome...I think it's called Raynauds Syndrome. I have it also. Go to WebMD.com for more info or see a DR. I don't think it is serious if it is that syndrome, but see a Dr. incase it is poor circulation.

Deep blue nail beds show a pulmonary obstructive disorder such as asthma
or emphysema.
Diabeties is also another form of of lack of circulation to your extremeties, and coujld cause the blue ness, as well as the slight tingly feeling.
