I had my rhinoplasty on my nose in 1995 and the doctor at that time removed to much cartilage. He tried to fix it then without much success. I called a lawyer at that time but they told me I didn't have a case. But now my nose is caving in. It is constantly hurting and I don't know what to do. Would I have a case?

Gosh, sorry about your nose! Probably having trouble breathing, too??
I'm not a lawyer. Did work as a nurse for over 30 years. We were always told that the statute started from the date that the injury/malpractice was discovered. So, I would guess that this far down the lane you still have a chance of suing since the result of the impaired surgery is showing up now.
The best thing you can do is look for a good malpractice lawyer and run it by him. The law is probable different in every state and it would be a shame for you to be given the wrong answer by us talkative Answerites (?). It wouldn't hurt to get an opinion as well from another plastic surgeon.
Good luck!

Go to another attorney. If you live in a small town, try an attorney in a large town. Lawyers can't really 'specialize' in certain types of cases, but you can certainly tell from their advertising what kinds of cases they like to take. So try to find an attorney who takes medical malpractice cases. You might be able to do an internet search yourself to find out if your doctor has been sued for similar types of problems. Good luck.
