It is probably because their parents were the same & it has rubbed off on them. Also maybe they have dull boring lives & take this out on others.

Because they are narrow minded and lack certain abilities within their personality. Added to which, they are likely ill educated.
However, there are as like as not, as many combinations of reasons for someone exhibiting these traits as there people exhibiting these traits. BUT, you must also remember, this is also called 'Free Will' and a 'Human Right' too.
We are all Free to be Stupid, Arrogant, Opinionated, Narrow Minded, Shallow and to be Intolerant of the imperfections in others.

Just a few speculations-
Fear of the unknown has caused unmeasurable pain, sorrow, suffering, etc.
Lazy- don't want to bother learning about others, and it's easier to judge by appearances.
Arrogance- don't see the point in learning about others, since it's all about them.
Dumb- some are actually physically unable to think outside their own little world, step into another's shoes, etc.

Cause a lot of people seem to think that everyone has to be perfect and if they are not they dont want them in their lives. These people are missing out on so much.

problems when they were children. i like to have sex with many ladies at the same time and some people think that is wrong, but its not. its just a preference. just like how some people like people of other colors or races. just do what you want and dont worry about anyone else.

Somehow somewhere in this world it became o.k. to be cruel and maen>I think these type of people have low self esteems and it makes them feel superior to put others down and be mean.God bless:O)

they're human and if everyone in the world wants power (of sorts) some gain in by belittling others
Also upbringing
people say fear but i don't believe that

Because im afriad not everyone is the same,and if we all were our lives would be dull.
Mostly they are in the insecure ones.
