There are two possibilities in the New Testament for Mary of Magdala.
1. She is the woman caught in adultery.
2. She is the woman who was a professional prostitute before following Christ.
What Scripture does make clear is that this woman, more than any other female except His mother, followed Him without question in total faith. Her faith was probably more profound than Peter's (SHE didn't deny Jesus 3 times, after all). She was given the grace to be the first to see the Risen Christ. She is the archetype for ALL women of woman redeemed.
There are legends about her that were written 2 or 3 CENTURIES after her time (See the Nag Hammadi scrolls from the Gnostic churches). The Catholic Church wisely discarded them as unverifiable and therefore suspect.
Dan Brown's book seizes on one such legend whose beginnings were even later, in medieval times, and whose purpose was not religious but political in scope.
Hope this helped.

According to the Bible Mary Magdalene was a follower of Jesus who travelled with Jesus and supported his ministry financially. (Luke 8:1-5). It says that Jesus had cast seven demons out of her. She was also present at the crucifixion and burial of Jesus and the first person to see Jesus after his resurrection. (I know Muslims do not believe he died or rose, I am just repeated what the Bible says.) As the first witness to Jesus' resurrection, she has been treated by the Christian faith with respect, but not to the point of any kind of "worship" or special status.
While the Da Vinci code claims that Jesus married Mary Magalene and had a child by her, there is nothing in the Bible or in any existing historical records to support that claim. While the novel says that books called "The Gospel of Mary" and "The Gospel of Thomas" say so, I have read both book - long before the DaVinci code was written - and neither give any hint of a marriage or child.
The DiVinci code is a work of fiction, with many historical inaccurities and mistakes.

Okay, I am not a chrstian, but I study all religions. She was the wife of jesus, according to actual records. They did have children, and it is possible that the blood of christ lives on today (weird right?) christians fight hard against this because they want to belive that the bible is what tells the truth. But it was written by man. I think that the bible is a good read, but only that. I have learned alot, and I think that Jesus was a philosopher, just like aristotle etc. Back to your question however, people in chrsitianity belive that she symbolizes being forgiven. In the bible it says that she was a prostitute, and then became a christian and was forgiven. It basiclly mean you can be forgiven no metter what you do, as long as you go christian and stop doing it

The DaVinci Code was just a fictitious story. It's not to be taken as truth. There's no proof that Mary Magdalene was who Dan Brown said she was in the book. It's just a really good read. :)

She represents one of the worst possible nightmares to organized Christianity and Christians: that what they've been told about their religion and their Savior is at best incomplete, and at worst a lie.
How could you worship a man who did ordinary stuff like love, get married, have kids? No, in order to have a Savior, he's got to be above such worldly things. Hell, my dad loved, got married and had kids. Yours too. I don't see anybody worshiping them.
Calling this nonsense simply reflects that it doesn't make sense to you. That doesn't make it untrue. Insults aren't reasons. People who are invested in a belief are quick to deny or insult any position that is in opposition to their belief, or would make them question it. That is the sign that someone is not thinking for themselves. They've been brainwashed.
If Jesus preached love, why would he not practice what he preached? If he was the "king of love", why not express that with Mary Magdalene? If you're THAT loving, why not have kids too? Think about it: is the only loving thing Jesus ever did was perform miracles?
MM represents the death of an idea of Jesus. AND...once you destroy one idea, the others that are built on it come tumbling down too. That's just too much to consider if you've built your entire life on a belief that may be a lie.
I wish you Peace.

Mary Magdelene was a friend to Jesus, he had delivered her from evil spirits(Holy Bible, Luke 8:2) . They were never married, nor did they have any children together. The Da Vinci Code was a fabrication.

I too am Muslim and enjoyed the movie, though I don't take it seriously.
Mary Magdelene was a prostitute in the time of Jesus (pbuh), and though I'm not 100% on the full details, she left her ways and asked God for forgiveness and became a follower. The Bible says that it was her who discovered Jesus after he rose from the grave.

Mary Magdelian was a women possessed of many evil spirits, Christ removed those spirits from her. She, along with several other women, followed Christ and the diciples and loved Christ wholly (and in a holy way) They served in domestic ways and also as witnesses to miracles.
She and Jesus never came together physically, either outside of marraige or inside of marraige.
Thank you for your question.
