As I've gotten older I've questioned it's validity more and more. When I was in Catholic school one of the nuns laid it out for us; there was no way the Earth could be made in 7 days, Adam and Eve was a good story, etc. We were told that it was written the way it was to get across complex ideas to the "simple people" and that the story form was the best way to do it. However, the writers were being directed by god to do so (eye roll).
The Greeks and Romans could've had the same m.o., but for some reason since they had polytheism it was all wrong. Could not the Bible be wrong? Good stories, but how real is it? Do you ever question its validity? Why or why not? Sorry for rambling!

Regarding the Greek and Roman myths ... consider also how perrenially they have recycled into our literature and arts again and again ...In my opinion this is because there is , in the least ,alot of "good depth psychology" there of an astrosophical nature ...

I read Hebrew ...this may be of interest to you ...The first words in Genesis ... and the first naming of God ... "Berashith bera Elohim hashimim vath aretz" ...This is "In the beginning created God the heavens and the Earth " ... "Elohim - the first naming of God is plural" ...it is a host ...also it is feminine ...

So "polytheism" ...angelology ....Moses speaking to the face of Hanael in the burning bush ...

Historically Christians used "idolatry" ,"polytheism" ,and "heathenism" as an outright policy of genocide at times , and at others as a suppressive technique ... But between "the trinity" and angelology ... it both in practice and origins (and once again consider Gabriel the angel of the conception) ... has always had the exact same issues of polytheism as these other religions ...

Personally ...I do not throw that out as the suggestion of a big crisis .. Eastern religions like Bhuddhism and Hinduism have tended always to hold the view of "One source with many tributaries " ... pantheism in the theurgic sense (and I quite believe this for the Greeks you mention ) ... can be monotheistic also ... One Godhead that has many masks and energies by which it expresses itself ...

I do though consider it tragic, that in many cultural conflicts Christianity has chosen to ignore its own polytheistic basis in order to create a blind selfrighteous cause ...

same story - different messengers. "Let Us make man in our image".
the "myths"(not) all fit from all over the world - everyone has a flood (even China) etc, so specifically as to your question -- Genesis 6:4: The sons of god (nephilim - fallen angels in Hebrew) saw the daughters of men (people) were fair, and they had relations with them and bore children (hybrides), mighty men of reknown (easily the Greek and other gods).
also, ignore the nuns lack of study - the original Hebrew doesn't say God created the earth but the proper verb is recreated (Let Us REplenish the earth), and note that in i believe 2nd Peter it says one day with God is 1000 years for man. So the "recreation"/cleansing took 7000 years earth time - and God talks about dinosaurs in Job - Where were you when i made the great behemoth whose tail was the size of a cedar tree? only one animal on earth ever with a tail that large - a dinosaur.
Prophecies of Old Testament and new - especially Revelation - talk about previous earth age (for people). check it out.
happy hunting!

I expect there are still people who believe in the greek or roman gods, just as some believe in the norse, indian, and pagan pantheons. But a lot of them don't make their beliefs public for fear of ridicule.

Should you believe in the bible? That's up to you. Religion and faith are very personal things, and ultimately it's your decision whether to dedicate time, money, and resources to them.

It is this philosophy of "My Religon is better than yours". Us men also know it as "My Dick is bigger than yours". Thats whole of Christianity/Islam in a nutshell.
