A lot of times family members lie to you to protect your feelings depending on your age.They should not lie but it is a easier way to get around the subject at hand. Like a death in the family, they may say "they are just taking a long nap", But that is coming from there heart because they dont want to see you sad also. They know eventually they will have to explain and they will when the timing is right:)

Because that is what family members are for. Maybe they are not lying maybe they see something that you do not see. Or know something that you do not know, especially if they are older and have been there before. I mean would you like them to say whatever the problem is you are doomed and it is never going to get better. Sometimes they "lie" to give you hope about something that you have lost hope in.

It is their jobs to make you feel better about yourself....... no matter how big they have to lie, they are doing it with the best intentions. Just be glad you have a family because alot of people don't know what it feels like.

It is because they don't want to but they have to. The truth hurts more than a lie and they don't want to see you feel hurt. Also, they might think they are not lying but they are. They do this to get away with problems that you might be having.

Because they're not lying. It's the people outside the family who don't know how great you are. And a friend who finds out the truth, agrees with your family, that friend is a keeper. Don't believe the people who drag you down. Stay with the people who have a good opinion of you....family and good friends. They find the good in you and appreciate your attributes.

Because they don't want to see you hurt, Not saying that a lie is good but sometimes you have to do that to protect the ones you love in my view.

they dont want to hurt you with the truth or they dont want to get in trouble so they lie to get out of it but ltr they prob realize that tellin the truth is better than lying to ur own family
