Well, because God didn't write the Bible... Man did... And it was written at a time that Man believed the world was still flat.... and that the Sun revolved around the Earth....
One would think that if God mentioned all the things He created, He also would have thrown Man a bone by telling him that some of his thinking was wrong, but, ummmm........ I guess God was too busy....
Also.... for the person a few answers above mine.... To think that this is THE ONLY PLANET IN THIS HUUUUGGGEEE VAST AMOUNT of space and stars and planets that we are the ONLY planet to have life is the most arrogant simple minded thing I have ever heard.....Talk about conceit!!!! We are not that unique.... we can't be.... the odds are GREAT that there IS other life out there.... we just haven't found it YET....

Three answers:
1) Man (and thus Earth) is unique, because Man was created in the image of God. None of the other planets are inhabited by intelligent life, and hence they do not matter.
2) God understood the Theory of Relativity before Einstein. If there is any other intelligent life in the universe, it is so far away that we will never be able to communicate with it. Hence, it does not matter. It is not worth talking about.
3) The Old Testament is not divinely inspired. It is a collection of myths and legends from ancient (pre-Jewish) civilizations who did not understand the concept of planets other than the Earth.

I imagine thats for a few reasons, first off he created all the animals and they didn't go off listing each and every one. Second the Bible is God's word for us, as we are on this planet, and are the dominant species here it make sense that it would be the only thing mentioned, because thats where we are. The bible does exactly what it sets out to do, shows the way to salvation and eternal life. So basically space wasn't mentioned because it wasn't relevant.

Because people wrote the Bible, not God, and we as a race are pretty arrogant.
The Earth used to be widely considered the literal center of the universe. That should tell you something.

Because there is no such thing as a God. God was created by men who thought the world was flat and that some moron talked to a burning bush and lived to be 900 years old. How can their silly stories, these people used to entertain themselves, still have believers today?
It's scary how gullible people are today, I guess that explains how we were also fooled into believing the invasion of Iraq made us safer

Hbr 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Hbr 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
We were His finest creation God made all things, we were to rule over all His work. He did not need to Make other races of beings we were the pinnacle of His creation.
But we fell and looked to ourselvess instead that was our fall. Since that point man has destroyed almost everything God has made including ourselves.
Yes we were the center and still are of This universe. Because we fell doesn't mean God removed us we removed ourselves and made ourselve lower than even the animals.
They do not kill one another for the sake of killing, hate each other because ones spots are different from the other. They do not have that kind of intelligence but we do. We were not made like them yet we act worse because of our fallen state. Once we realize our state God is there to bring us back to where He originally wanted us to be.

Planets are located in the sky (way way up there). When we look at the sky, people refer to it as "gazing into the heaven(s)." If you read one of the very first lines in the Bible it clearly states, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." There is nothing more to be said.

The Bible is Salvation History. It contains only whatever information we need in order to know God and enable ourselves to discern His will.
We do not all have to become experts in Astronomy in order to be Saved. Having said that, a better understanding of the universe (provided to us by science) helps us to comprehend God's creative power.

The Bible records only earthly records or stories as told by men but perhaps like men that are married and also have a mistress, he doesn't share stories.
