The best Belgian Waffle recipe I've ever had. This recipe simply mixes 1 part Bisquick & 1 part Krusteaz Waffle mix together with a couple added ingredients.

1 cup original Bisquick baking mix
1 1/4 cups waffle batter (Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix)
1 1/2 cups milk (use a little more if desired)
2 1/2 tablespoons oil
1 egg
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons Splenda sugar substitute (or other sweetner)

Preheat your waffle maker. Mix ingredients together in a bowl with a utensil (fork or wisk works well). Use 3 packets of Splenda, rather than 2, if you'd like sweeter waffles.
Cook waffles about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Follow your waffle iron instructions for best results.
It's that easy!

Belgian Waffles
Top with your favorite fruit.
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cups milk
3 eggs, separated
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 pinch salt
whipped cream

1. Combine the flour, baking powder, confectioners sugar, oil, milk and egg yolks.
2. Beat the egg whites and salt until they stand in soft peaks, mix in the vanilla at this time and fold into the batter (do not over mix).
3. Pour 1/8 of the mixture into a hot waffle iron and bake for about 2 minutes.
4. Repeat with the remaining batter.
5. Top with your favorite fruit and whipped cream and serve hot

Rock: All the recipes for Waffles seem to have yeast OR Baking powder. I don't know what you'd end up with if you omitted the BP, but I don't want to be responsible. It probably won't fluff up good like a nice waffle should..LOL
