The notion of a God complex is when a person starts to believe they can control the fate of others in such a way as only God should be able to do, i.e. being able to control life and death.

"In the next few years, -I- will be able to cure leukemia in children. Now how many people can say that?"

"I suppose only you....and God."

I think people who think they can do a "BTBS" on someone, must have a giant God complex.

My english is rusty, but if memory serves me right, a complex is also a synonyme for building, so any church could also be named a God complex.

When a person starts thinking that they are so much better and so much smarter than others and they start trying to make decisions for others and control other's lives.

I've heard it in reference to doctors and their arrogance many times.
