ccApp is part of Nortons autoprotect routine and the reason it gives you a message is because your computer is not fully protected. Note if you have two ccApp processes running, one of them is part of a virus. Why it is shutting down is another story entirely.

Information about stopping ccApp.exe from loading at startup

Situation:

You are trying to maximize your system resources to make your computer start faster. When you open the Windows System Configuration Utility to check which programs are loading at startup, you see a file called ccApp.exe. You want to know what will happen if you uncheck the program to stop it from loading on startup.

Solution:
ccApp is an important part of the protection that Norton AntiVirus or Norton Internet Security provides and should not be disabled at startup.

ccApp.exe is the common hosting application that is used by both Norton AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security. It calls the different program features in Norton AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security. For example, in Norton AntiVirus, if Auto-Protect and Email Scanning are enabled, then ccApp.exe makes sure that those programs are running. If ccApp is disabled, then Auto-Protect and Email Scanning will not run.

If you have already disabled ccApp.exe, then follow the steps in the document that applies to your version of Norton AntiVirus to re-enable the program:

Norton AntiVirus 2004/2005/2006: Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect is disabled on startup
Norton AntiVirus 2003: Norton AntiVirus 2003 Auto-Protect is disabled on startup

I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. The best PC cleaner and antivirus program is CCleaner, it's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate.

CCleaner is also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than nomal. Download it here for free: http://bit.ly/1mQZhtQ
