Why is this so?

I am watching the State of Origin
Rugby League relayed from
Telstra Dome in Melbourne Australia.

I have been getting the more up-to-date
game details on 1 tv and my husband
is 2 rooms away still waiting for the result
It's hilarious

Another thing I should tell you is
that the delayed telecast is Fox pay tv.

Probably due to the cable box. My High Def cable box is almost three seconds behind my regular TV which just has a standard cable coming in off the cable line. The High Def receiver has to process the signals and what not, so it takes longer to get to your TV. Also if you have a TiVo service (or similar) built into the box than that may be buffering live TV for a second or two and this may cause the delay.

One of them could be digital and the other analogue. There is sometimes a delay when a programme is being shown on the different systems.

Do you have a DVR attached to one of them? If one of the tv's is recording on digital media there will be a lag in what it displays because it's recording the show that's being viewed.

it could be that one has a satellite reciever and the other does not.
