From Anchorage it's a 4395 mile trip to Newark. It will take you 7 days speeding, and 9 days doing the speed limit. Most of you driving will be through Canada. I would suggest carrying extra can or two of gasoline, as some areas are sparsely populated. If your vehicle gets an average of 17 city and 27 hwy mpg it should cost you about $480 in fuel at $2.90 a gallon. I'm sure you will see some beautiful scenery. Take extra blankets and food in case you break down. And while unlikely to obtain, a satellite phone would be nice to have.

When you get to Canada, we use the metric system, so when the speed sign says 100 thats kilometers per hour, or 55 mph. Use the TransCanada highway from the lower mainland BC through the mountains. Fantastic scenery. Pass through Calgary, then into the flat lands, good dinosaur museum in Drumheller(if your into that) carry on to Regina (boring) then Winnipeg, Then Toronto, great lakes, Niagra falls(the good Canadian Half) then multiple ways to go from there. Watch out for the Frenchies. Have a good trip.

Turn around at the jersey border, you'll thank me for it later. It's the only state you can enter for free but have pay in order to leave for a reason.
