Offal from pigs used to be popular in England. Like chitterlings. I think they are pigs intestines. they are boiled then eaten with a sprinkling of vinegar - yummy. Tripe is similar and a similar taste. Not many people eat chicken livers, but they're nice. I used to cook them for a minute or two in the microwave. I can't get any good ones now. Same with rabbit, rabbits everywhere in the English countryside and no one appears to be selling it. No one eats pigeon any more either, but they are a lot of work, for a little meat. I haven't tried squirrel, but they seem a little small to be useful as food. I have seen people take rats from an open sewer, chop of the legs, skin them and flash fry the legs in a wok. Well, it's better than starving. Not much meat on a rats leg though.

The weirdest food i ever had was in Corsica while on holiday. It was a smoked sausage, served with olives as an appetizer. i thought it tasted very good if a bit strong. I asked what it was to be told it was donkey sausage!!! Yes made from donky meat. I must admit ... All of a sudden ... It didn't taste as good as it had ... What made it worse was the fact that the restaurant where i ate it had huge field with ... Donkeys grazing !!!

In Thailand, crispy Cicadas (like cockroaches), Fire Ants & Larvae are particularly popular. They are most commonly found in the North East/Isaan area. Not tasted by myself, but enjoyed by my travelling companion who is a chef.
From the same country, I have tried deep fried Frogs Skin. It's first sundried then deep fried whole, served with a very hot dipping sauce. Tastes & feels a little like very fine tortilla chips.
Bon Apetit!
