The front right shock started croaking like a frog about a month ago. I didn't think it was a big deal, but recently the same wheel started squeaking loudly and making a fuss anytime I went over a bump at all, not just the big ones. Outside of the annoyance, is this a serious problem, and will it be costly to fix?

Have a good Ford shop do a thorough suspension inspection on your car, including a dry park check. That should reveal any problems you may be having, and their seriousness.

If it really was croaking like a frog, your ball joints are probably at fault, but it could also be your suspension springs or a combination of suspension and brake issues.

sounds like the ball joints going bad. See if you can lube them or if the boot is ripped on upper and lower ball joints.
