first its ''sleep apnea"
O2 is not enough, the purpose is to push air into the nostrils to allow for better breathing, keeping airway open, when you are just using O2 it does no good because you have to be able to inhale the air.
You need to if you already havent seen a sleep specialist. There are sleep centers that you enter for overnight observation and they determine if you need a apparatus for the problem
the name of the machine is a C-PAP.
Not to scare you, but sleep apnea is a serious contditon and you can die from it if you are not assessed.
Hope this helps

As other people have said, the condition is called sleep apnea, and it happens when the soft palate in the roof of your mouth obstructs your airway while you sleep. The CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine may or may not deliver oxygen depending on your needs, but most importantly forces air under pressure through your airway to keep it open. If they reccomend CPAP for you, use it. Most people say it is burdensome and uncomfortable at first, but once you get used to sleeping with the mask on, you'll probobly have the best sleep you've had in years. Untreated sleep apnea can lead to heart failure.

It helps a great deal to use the oxygen. I know 5 people that have the machines. They have all said forcing yourself to use the machine at first is terrible!! However, 4 off the 5 follow that with, " and I can't sleep without it now." Good Luck, hope it helps you!

Yes, it's called a CPAP machine, it is not oxygen,it is just air under pressure. You will get a sound sleep all night using the machine. If the sleep apnea goes untreated it will strain your heart.

I have it. It gets better if you lose weight.
But for right now, using a nite-time breathing machne (C-pap) is best. It forces air down your throat so that you won't stop breathing. It gives you a better nite's sleep, and will help you lose a few pounds too.
It is a cumbersome mask to wear, though.

I think it might be 'Sleep Apnoea' that you are referring to.
If you have attended a Sleep Clinic that recommended that to you, then yes, you will sleep better.
