Well Dr Stephen Hawkins is a pretentious fool, lives in Cambridge and talks in an American accent.

Because you're not Dr. Stephen Hawking. And your question doesn't go under the answer button and stay there for like 5 days.

there have been some truely excellent questions asked on here but they have had only a few answers

i would think the number of answers he got is due mainly to his name and partly to the question being displayed continuously on the home page of this web site - all other questions disappear to other pages after a minute or 2 and will rarely be seen again

Update:
and be impressed - this question got you more than 5 answers lol

probably lots. maximum folk shall be like "Oh, that is Dr. Stephen Hawking, that's a honor for him to respond to my question!" and his answer as best answer, no count how good the different solutions are.

A few reasons. Because he is a world famous physicist, his question is a "featured question", the question is advertised all over Yahoo, and his question is posted on the home page of this site as the first question for 24 hrs.

Becuase you're compparing yourself to Stephen Hawking. That's generally a really bad idea.

Because his was featured at the top, and yours like so many others are just in the very long list of thousands of questions.

Simply because his question is featured by Yahoo answers team!

He probably asked a question worthy of an answer.

You probably asked an obscure irrelevant question that nobody comprehends.
