Well, it would disrupt centuries of belief based on highly misinterpreted book, which is also known as the bible. And, of course, the events that occurred in the 'DaVinci Code" dispelled such fictitious interpretations. Hebrew is one of the most difficult languages to interpret. For example; If you think of the way it was when the Bible (the Old Testament and new) first came about, it was interpreted by men to please a patriarchal society, where men ruled and women were though of as evil seductresses. The Bible was only discussed this way, because it would keep women in there place...hence most women were not allowed to learn how to read. There was also no separation of church and state. So, naturally, the best way to govern the people was through the Bible (since it was God’s word). Heaven forbid any of these professed Bible passages were proved untrue; look what it would to the church and many governors around the world? Just look what happened when Copernicus tried to prove that the earth revolved around the sun; not the moon. He was killed for defying the church!

Because the one truth it exposes is a fatal blow to the Catholic nation and 90% of Christian denominations.

The Catholic church invented the idea of the "Trinity" and the Jesus is God myth.

That much of the DaVinci Code is a historical fact.

The "real facts" have been so distorted and intermingled with fiction that you cannot separate what is real from what is not. If he had researched his books a little better, he would not have gotten everything so jumbled together that it is impossible to separate the real facts from his fiction.

there is no need to ban the davinci code... its just speculation and conspiracy theories.. and although it rises some questions and new interests, it is absolutely no threat to the christian faith that has been around for the past 1000 years...

no . it is based on fiction but written as facts.... people can watch whatever film they like but the problem with the movie and the book is that people actually believe it....as true.... it is therefore deception....people should make more intelligent choices as to what they fill their minds with.... it you want to know the truth about jesus, read the bible.
