Beside starvation diet and only eating veggies every other day (lost 100lbs), only Xenical has helped. I lost 30 lbs in 1 month but had to go to the bathroom all the time.

Oh lord, meat and fruit are fine, in fact you should combine all 4 food groups in every meal. Okay, this is easy. Restrict your caloric intake, exercise at least 30 min a day and have 3 dairy, 5 fruits and veggies a day. It worked for me, I dropped 60 lbs and am keeping it off. You need fats, you need carbs, you need sugar and all that stuff, you just need to eat less of it and exercise more. Another good thing is to eat small amounts throughout the day. It'll help you eat less when faced with a big meal (your stomach shrinks when you eat less) and keeps your metabolism up all day long. This will make the weight loss a bit slower than a crash diet but after you loss the weight, this will be a lifestyle and the weight will stay off.

"Everything in Moderation". That is what we were told growing up. So l've never been on a diet as such. If l put on weight, l be "Honest" with myself and look at what l have been over indulging in. Exercise and eating anything in moderation (of cause include fruit,vegies,salad). Don't bother with all the crazed diets around, they are not practical to be on for the rest of your life. So.. get up off the couch and be more active, get the heart pumping for 20mins a day and eat healthy food. YOU CAN DO IT.

I lost 40 pounds by eliminating breads, pastas, cereals, etc. Well, not eliminating....I ate 3 servings a day, but only whole grain and "light" carbs. Examples include brown rice (1/2 cup no more than once a week), diet bread, flavored rice cakes, stone ground whole wheat pastas (1/2 cup no more than once a week).

Exercise also helps! Go for a walk. 20 minutes a day does wonders!

When I want to lose weight I eat Only things that will fit in a flour tortilla. like breakfast would be one scrambled egg with shredded cheese and a glass of juice.. I prefer Mango or Orange-pineapple. Lunch; 1ounce of cocktailshrimp blended with cream cheese andany of your favorite vegetables, like avacado chuncks, celery, small slices of carrots, a couple cut up olives. With Wateror juice to drink... Since it is summer drink lots of water it fills you up too. Stay away from sodas if you can.
And switch to as much baked or broiled fish as you can handel. If you have to have red meat buy small steaks cut them in to small pieces and stir fry them so they fit in a tortilla half a pound of meat makes 3 tortilla rollups and it is a healthy way to lose weight with exercise too. I lost 22 pounds in May doing this and water arobics 2 times a week. Good Luck.
