yeah... it's a TECNIQUE to get around the rules.

I was SHOCKED when I enquired and found out that for a SUM OF MONEY... I could get an ANNULMENT, (because I was not married Catholic, it didn't count the first time) and get married in church.

I declined. That put a real bad taste in my mouth.

Annulment is the church's way of saying a marriage never happened officially. This can only be done under certain circumstances, so it's not quite as doable as divorce--divorce has a much larger range of reasons for allowing it, including, in most states, "irreconcileable differences".

Annulment usually requires: failure to conjugate marriage, adultery, similar things.

Well, yes, provided that you believe and so does the priest that this was not your true marriage partner. It does say in the bible, "What god has put together, let not man put apart." If the spouse is physically abusive or is or has cheated, I see no reason why the couple shouldn't divorce. The best thing, ideally, is to get to know your fiance really well before you marry to determine if a divorce down the road is inevitable. and remember that have of the problem also lies with you.

The only way you can get a "divorce" is if your spouse has "cheated" on you!

Any other reason is not recognised by the LORD.

Now, the Catholic Church does all sort of things "wrong" that puts them outside the Bible, but, puts money in thier coffers.
(My Cousin had to pay 400 bucks to get a marriage dissolved by the Catholic Church, when he divorced his first wife, even though she cheated on him!..What a scam!!).

If your spouse didnt cheat on you, and just wanted a divorce, or, you wanted a divorce with out an affair by some one, then, if its done, then "both" of you are in a relationship that is outside of Marriage, because, you are not "official" the second time, with not cheating of either spouse! In fact, your BOTH cheating, in your second marriages, because you were not supposed to get divorced for the "reason" of adultrery, in the first one.

But, now days, people dont "care"...

They are living in a "secular World" and are living for today. They have no "fear" of the LORD, or "Judgement Day". When it comes, it will take many by suprise!!

I hope your not one of them...

I wish you well..

Jesse

I assume this pertains to the catholic church. An annulment can be bought from a priest, so you can be married in a catholic church. It should cost about $1,000 - 1,500, depending on how greedy the priest is. If you don't pay, you will not get the annulment. It is a system of taxation used by the church to intimidate their victims.

It has something to do with the church doctrines that what God has blessed already together, let no man separate. So I think this wont be possible although, a bit unfair.
