Your not the only one mate, I was raised on the best of the best, ACCA, Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Van Halen..ect ect (impossibly long list!) It's just that "kids" (I'm only 4 yrs older than you) are too easily swayed by the "chart music" and the thought that you have to follow trends to fit in. It makes me wanna cry.

wow Patrick - I have to admit I got a bit of a nerve spasm when I saw you list Tears for Fears & *shudder* MJ in the "classic rock" collection. I can see classifying all these as "Classic Hits" but not "classic rock ".

TFF = 80's new wave
MJ = pop

Anyway, what do 10 year olds really know about music? They're just now getting past Barney! In time, they might understand better.

do not quit Believing - adventure Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin (seem i like Led Zeppelin yet this music is a procedures too overplayed.) do not concern The Reaper - Blue Öyster Cult more advantageous than a feeling - Boston (Wait ANY Boston music.)

All of today's movies, cartoons, and commercials are using today's music (if you could call it that) and that is what they hear. Put on Disney and hear for yourself. They are too immature right now to realize there is more, and better out there. Give them time.
