I think one would have to have a lot of patience to live with someone who was famous. The patience would be needed to deal with the rest of the world and to deal with the famous person. The rest of the world would want to have a piece of that famous person. They would expect the famous person to be "on" at all times, and probably wouldn't respect the privacy of the person or his/her family.

I'd also need patience in order just to deal with someone who is famous. He would used to being fawned over, and might not like it when I'd treat him like everyone else. I don't think I'd put the person on a pedestal, and that might be damaging for the ego of a famous person. If I lived with him, I'd know all about his faults, idiosynchrosies, and there would be things that would drive me nuts. Living with him all the time, I'd be aware of all those things that make him human and I'd know that he's not the perfect person like his fans think he is.

If my husband were famous, I'd still expect him to take out the trash and help around the house, and he might feel that those types of activities are beneath him.

Of course, it is entirely possible that a famous person would appreciate coming home to a place where he's treated just like any other person, and likes being able to step down from the pedestal into a real life.

Living with someone famous is like living on a roller coaster. At home all is good and calm, there is excitement in the thrill of the big events that come with the being famous that you will now attend, and then it is lonely when you are not even noticed as you stand at the event, everyone pushing you out of the way to get to "famous" person. I would think, you would have to have a very special relationship to maintain that lifestyle very long. It would also have to depend greatly on the way the famous person handles that fame as well. Some people do this so well, while others do not.

If you care for the person it should not matter that he is famous or not. If he is a friend give him his space and boost. If he is family he should be counted as one and made to feel the same way. Fame does not comes with a horn or tail, if it comes with anything it's loneliness because with time everyone that's not famous tries to leave you just because you are famous.

Famous people are just like anyone else.I have known a few close friends that were in their own way famous and a lot of friends who were not. It does not matter how famous people are. What matters is what kind of a person they are. Even I have a rather dubious claim to fame of sorts. Its nothing. My wife still says she loves me.

To live with a famous person is probably no where as bad as being that famous person.

Intolerable most get their success high on their head and think that people before they become famous isn't good enough for them anymore....Very few and rare ones keep everything under control and the same values on maintain their friends and families....some become very lonely.

I think it would be like living in a fish bowl...at least in public. In private, they are probably no different than those of us who are not famous. They just want to be normal people.

the same as living with whomever you live with now. famous people are fathers, mothers, etc., and to their families, they are just that.
