It's just a bit of a laugh and everyone should take it as that... Anyone who follows English footy has seen this kind of stuff a million times online, on TV and on the terraces... If anyones got an issue with the site I would suggest they get over it... and find a sense of humour from somewhere...

Oh my gosh...I just watched that video 4 times to make sure I was seeing things correctly. I know Wayne Rooney has a bit of a temper, but I have seen far worse explosions from players in this WC. One Croatian player actually pushed the referee in the match V Aus and nothing was done. To me it strongly looked as though it may have been unintentional and Rooney seemed to be looking at or for the ball with his back to the player while getting to his feet. C Ronaldo should have kept his nose out of that. What a cocky and unsporting display on his part. That is just wrong. If he had not interfered there would have been no cause for any confrontation or pushing between him and Rooney. And I did vote in the polls and I am a neutral observer. I kind of think Ronaldo was out of line. Whether a good player, or other experienced player would have done the same is not the point and does not make it right. He's a cheeky one to say the least.

I love Ronaldo, great player, excellent driver, falls without any contact. However this site just shows what BAD loosers the English are. Won the Cup once - at home, with the ref doing the winning for them. Get over it.
I saw the opener England - Paraguay in the stadium even there Paraguay had to do the scoring for you. I went to that game unbiased, just wanted to see a good game, but the behaviour of the English fans turned me against them. Had to baptize the England idiot in the seat in front of of me with my beer, was not accident like I said then I case you can read... What is it with the stupid queen national athem anyhow, it's 2006 - good riddance to aristocracy already!
Anyhow was glad when Portugal kicked you out. Get with the program, winning the WC in 1966 was a one-time event for England, not going to happen again.
Maybe you should have a GB cup between Wales, Scotland, Nothern Ireland and England so England could win it maybe every 7-8th time -get a Russian linesman :)

first off, i´ll let you all know i´m portuguese, dispite that i´ll be imparcial,. Thats something that everyone should use when answering in a world wide point of discussion. The site is pittyfull and childish. But hey, everyone has a right to have an opinion, the sad thing is, the english opinion is worth more than a portuguese one. And so, ronaldo is labeled an actor instead of a player... i supose a real player likes to crush a fellow player nuts while looking for the ever so illuding ball... i supose he was trying to capture it!! like a pokemon but with his foot! yes that must be it....

Watch the video on the site he headbutts rooney before kick off and then winks at the england bench. He should be band from English football and be fined for dishonest behaviour. With a bit of luck he'll be shipped out to Spain and that will be the last time he plays in England.

I think that's pathetic.
England lost. Even with Rooney, England wouldn't have won it cause of their mediocre, disorganised play.
Get over it.
Are you saying that Ronaldo's pleas resulted in the ref giving the red card? Are you saying that the fact that the ref was just 5 feet away when the foul happened, and Rooney pushing and retailating when Ronaldo rushed in didn't have anything to do with what colour the card the ref pulled out?

Typical british bad losing temper.
Your real problem is that you couldn't win the Portuguese side once again, and that did hurt.
Then again, i am having a great time seeing that england still moans the defeat against Portugal.
They were the better team, and that's all there is.
The worse blind is not the one that does not see, its the one that does not want to see.
Get a life, "ihateronaldo" is the dumbest site i have ever seen.

ARE U KIDDING ME... if anyone is guilty it's rooney... the man is a brute and a disgrace to futbol.. he plays like a pure beast... it was one thing that he stepped on the man's nuts, but pushing people after the call, is a well deserved red- card... christiano is ten times the player then rooney is... he actually has skill, unlike rooney's style of play which is push everybody out of the way...

Now the world knows what Cristiano Ronaldo was up to.
My goodness, I've never seen the footage until now.
Rooney was clearly just trying to play the ball.
He was 'attacked' by 2 Portugal players ... there's no way he could even see where to step ... where the other guy's balls were!!! It was obviously accidental, what Rooney did.
He got sent off for pushing Cristiano Ronaldo ... he should've pushed harder!!

Very sad.
Thanks to the just dismissal of Wayne Rooney, England finally played with some pride, but not good enough to deserve a place in the semi-finals.
