This is going to annoy you, cos my memory has gone to s**t, but I used a program at my previous place of work, than when you scanned a *text* document, it recognised the font and transferred it to a word document, just as though you had written it. Then you can alter it like any other word document.

But I'm sorry I can't remember what it's called. But now you know what it does, you may be able to search for it on the net, or ask a computer software person.

You need to download some OCR software that will convert your scanned image to text - you can then save it in a Word document and do as much editing as you like. Have a look on the web for the name of some OCR software and download it from Limewire.com

The scanning application which got here along with your scanner. once you run it to operate your scanner, would easily be giving you an selection which contain settiing, or a window in which you could substitute the dimensions of the image, decision (dpi), color/B-W and also the type of output..no matter if BMP, JPG, TIF, GIF or the different. study the show screen intently. sometimes it really is in straightforward words on the clicking of the button, and regularly after the preview has been carried out.
