Something that that I wasn't expecting to recieve. The best presents I ever get is something that I've mentioned having wanted or had in the past and possibly lost and the person buying the gift has remembered it and gone out and got me it !

Cordless tools now!!
In fact, I am going to go to LOWES and get the cordless DeWalt set today!
I need it to build this wash room I am working on. After trying to cut some plywood, with a corded circular saw and an extension cord, in a "real cramped" space, I decided that I needed cordless now.
Dewalt has lithium ion batteries that have more "punch" to them, torque and longer lasting, and they dont develope the "memories" that other batteries do, when you dont discharge them all the way.
If it hadnt been for the 4th of July yesterday, I would have had it by now, and had the batteries charging, so I have to go out today, and get it and let the batteries charge for quite some time (first usage), before I can cut some plywood. (I really like that small saw for cutting plywood and luan, really compact, and thats the primary reason I am buying the "kit").
If your going to buy your hubby, boyfriend or male any tools, make "sure" they are INDUSTRIAL TOOLS!! Sure, they cost a bit more, but, they will last almost a life time!!
I got tired of buying cheap "home tools" and replacing them time and time again!! So, I buy the industrial tools, (Brand names like DeWalt, Ryobi, Delta and others like that.."too many to list here now")...
I wish you well..
Jesse

yeah, I'd have to agree with jim20032003 there... If the missus dragged me into a bike shop and said "Hun, here's two grand I've been saving up... Go buy that dream mountain bike you really want" I think I'd ask her to marry me...
...for a smaller present, a surprise crate of your favourite beer after a bad day in work always goes a long way to shutting you up and making you smile.

Anything i dint have to pay for is always great. Buying your own gift sucks. Anything technical is always nice like computers, PDA's etc. But i mean if you dont have that kinda cash something small just to let em know you care like a kiss ;)

something simple that shows you have thought a lot about who they are, maybe as simple as baking a cake just for them or helping them wash their car, or helping them do something they really dont like to do!
Dont think that expensive present means a great present
