I am a regular at the gym, make a point to mix up my workouts each day never working the same muscle groups two days in a row and I always stretch and drink lots of water. I've been doing zone training for about a year now and it has helped me take off a few extra pounds and gain endurance. Use a protein shake immediately following hard workouts and continue to drink lots of water throughout the day. Learn to listen to your body, if your feeling run down or like your getting a cold that's a sign your over training. Take some time off.. Good luck

You really have given insufficient information for this question to be answered properly.Let me explain. You haven't explained what you actually do at the gym on each visit therefore no one can really give an opinion on what you are doing or wether it's right or wrong.
Body builders follow a scientific programme with emphasis on the following areas.1/ Consistency of training
2/Intensity of training
3/Consistency of rest periods
4/Proper food/supplement programme
5/6 weekly adjustments to training regime
Instructors at modern health clubs are extremely poor at supervising those who use their facilities & are more keen to talk about monthly direct debits & personal training fees.
Therefore, I would suggest that you find someone in your gym who has been training for several years & ask him to write a programme for you.
More often than not, This person will be more useful to you than an underqualified & overpaid instructor.
By the way, muscles can only grow when fed & rested properly.
Good training.

It depends what your goals are - toned and fit is a bit vague, if you are doing a moderate mix of cardio work and medium intensity weights then every day is fine,
if you are doing seriously heavy weights then it is way to much.
A professional bodybuilder will exercise each muscle group for a maximum of 30 minutes with at least 7 days rest in between.
A professional rugby player will exercise at least 4-5 hours a day 6 days a week

Are you just sick of the typical diets were following the diet regime end the extra pounds are just coming and coming right after finish the diet? Are you encounter the reality that as soon as your physique gets utilized to a diet regime then this diet regime gets less successful above time due to the fact your body adjusts to compensate?

It depends on your work-out.
If you train hard, it would be better to rest a day between sessions.

when my husband did this his trainer told him it's ok
as long as you do things in an every other day pattern
such as M-W-Fri. do upper body
& then on Tues. & Thurs. work on your lower body
since everyone is different I'd advise you to talk to a trainer & see what's best for you
